北京2008年奥运会运动员村今日开村

　　The world's best athletes will begin to move into Beijing's Olympic Village starting on Sunday, July 27, embarking on their stay in safe, comfortable, warm accommodations while in the Chinese capital.

　　The Olympic Village in Beijing will be home to 16,000 athletes and representatives from over 200 countries and regions around the world.

　　At 9:20 on Sunday morning, a fantasic opening ceremony was held in the flag raising plaza of the Village, after which the Chinese Olympic delegation proudly stepped across the threshold, becoming the first athletic group to enter Beijing's Olympic Village.

　　27日，2008年北京奥运会奥运村正式开村，来自200余个国家和地区的16000名运动员和随队官员将陆续入住。在接下来一个月的时间里，这里将成为奥运选手们在北京的安全、舒适、温馨的家园，成为全世界文化交流、融合的小小的“地球村”。

　　当天上午，奥运村在升旗广场举行了盛大的开村仪式与欢迎仪式，中共中央政治局委员、北京市委书记、北京奥组委主席刘淇向全国人大常委会副委员长、北京奥组委副主席、北京奥运村村长陈至立移交了奥运村钥匙。

　　陈至立在开村仪式上致辞。她说，奥运村已经做好了一切准备，展开双臂，热烈欢迎来自世界各个国家和地区的运动员、代表团官员和媒体记者，我们尊贵的客人前来入住。
